- Why Zimmah?
Zimmah Muscle Therapy offers a personalised approach to myotherapy: we tailor each treatment to the client's specific needs. At the beginning of your first treatment at Zimmah, the therapist will take a comprehensive history and assess the cause of your pain or discomfort. Depending on these findings, the therapist will use a variety of musculoskeletal therapy techniques to help improve your function, these include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, cupping, dry needling, lymphatic drainage and joint mobilization.
In following treatments we will work on getting on top of your pain so you can get back to doing things you love as soon as possible. Once the issue is resolved, we encourage you to continue a maintenance program to not only ensure your pain doesn’t come back, but also to get you fully functional and enjoying your health.
- What are your qualifications?
All practitioners at Zimmah Muscle Therapy are highly skilled and each brings years of treatment experience, degree or advanced diploma qualifications as well as a dedication to continued learning through ongoing training and professional development.

-Can children, teenagers or the elderly benefit from treatment?
Yes of course! We treat and welcome people of all ages. We tailor our treatment to suit the individual and what they need at the time.
- What should I expect on my first myotherapy appointment?
On your first visit please arrive ten minutes early to fill out an intake form. In your appointment your therapist will go through your medical and health history, past and present, as well as ask questions about your lifestyle eg what work you do, what hobbies you have etc to gain an understanding of what may be going on in your muscles and why you are in pain.
Then your therapist will ask you to do some muscle movements to see how your muscles are working and to properly assess which ones are sore and how we can help. The therapist will then treat the tight muscles using a combination of techniques. Once the treatment is over we will ask you to do a few movements again to see how you're feeling, as well as give advice about home care and when you should come back for another treatment.
